(no subject)

Choir rehersal with St. Olaf's choir went rather well last night. The director and his wife, the accompanist, both seem to like my voice, so I think I've got at least a decent chance at getting the position. I'm familiar with a lot of the music, having sung at St. Joseph's back in Iowa...well...since we moved there. The stuff I don't know is pretty easy to pick up. It's not too much of a time commitment, and it'd nice to have a little extra income. I hope this works out for me.

Steve went to bed early-ish, so I got the comp at about 10:30. Yay! :-) Ben and I chatted on-line for a while, then on the phone a bit. The "quick call to say goodnight" became about an hour long, with the actual word "goodnight" not even being mentioned 'til after about 35 minutes. Not that I'm complaining...I always love chatting on the phone. It adds a dimension that net-chat lacks. I'm even more looking foward to chatting with Ben in person this January. If all goes as planned, I'll be boarding a plane in 56 days.

56 and counting...

A cool new comic

I was scoping out the Keenspace "GLBT friendly" comics and I found one I really like. I'd recommend checking out Unnatural But True. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's serious. I've just hit a serious spot, and if I weren't in the computer lab at school I'd probably be hunting for a box of kleenex right now. It's good stuff for you all to check out.
