(no subject)

You'd think in such of a lenghty list of moods they'd have something simple like "upset." Aggravated should suffice...

Given both that it's been 10 years since I've lived here in the Twin Cities and that I never drove when I did, I didn't even realize the city did regular street cleaning in the fall and spring to clear leaves off the streets. That's why, when I drove to school today, I saw no problems parking on Riverside Avenue like I normally did on those occasions I drive rather than bus. That's why I didn't think to look around for any warning signs--like the very inconspicuous "Police order--No park Tuesday 7 am to 4:30 pm" on the lightpost (which I found later while trying to figure out what the hell happened with my car). That's why my damn car got towed while I was in class. Now, if I worked full-time somewhere, $120 might not be so bad for me cough up. I'd still be upset, but I could do it. But, let's face it, I'm a poor, starving college artist. I'm a full time student and only a part-time employee. I don't /have/ $120. Dad's out of town back in Iowa so I couldn't discuss it with him (the financial head of the household). Mom said she'd deposit money for me. I'll just have to iron out the details later.

Many thanks to the illustrious Professor Zaro. She not only was there to give me a hug when I most needed it, she let me put in a few calls on her phone and even excused me from recital this afternoon so I can catch a 2:30 bus to the impound lot so I can at least get to work on time tonight. I kinda need to get the hours in just in case I have to pay Dad back.

Dunno if I'll be able to get that bus ticket any time soon for you now, Ferret...
