Yesterday I got my leopard costume from display at work. Yippee! Too bad I don't have any Halloween-y events to go to. Delta Lambda Phi had a Halloween party on the calendar for last Saturday, but none of the brothers actually bothered planning the details, so it didn't happen. On the plus side, that allowed me to drive back to IA Saturday night rather than early Sunday. Anywho... The only other party I've been invited to is being hosted by one of the brothers (though seperate from the fraternity stuff). Unfortunately, the e-mail basically advertised it as a "Let's all get drunk in costume!" sort of Halloween party, so I think I'll pass on that.
With my costume back, I got to put up my fleece jacket. Now, I'm getting work done on my next project. I'm making a grey pinstripe suit for the Christmas display. Not very Christmas-y, I suppose, though I think the formalwear is appropriate for the occasion. I've just about finished the pants, so I'll take care of those after school then I'll go cut out the jacket. Ugh...cutting... It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take so darn long. 'Course, sewing takes even longer and that doesn't bother me in the least... Oh, well. :-) I think it's because it's fun watching the whole garment go together, each step looking more and more like something wearable.
Time to go occupy myself at a piano keyboard!
