Many of my friends have posted this already, both in Iowa and out, but I definitely think it worth posting yet again.

Iowa Supreme Court unanimously rules in favor of gay marriage

I'm so glad that happened in Iowa. Slowly but surely States are beginning to realize they can't hide.

I really think they allowed gay marriage becuase everyone knows that there are no gay people in Iowa. I mean..Iowa? Seriosly?

You'd be surprised!

I grew up in the Cedar Rapids/Marion from 3rd grade through high school. We actually had our very own Gay & Lesbian Resource Center and every year had a decent little Pride Fest. All the big state college areas, of course, have a modest GLBT population, though Iowa City is known particularly so for its GLBT community even outside the U of I. Heck, we even have The Quire.

So be nice to Iowa, we're actually a good little midwestern queer state :-D

I would actually like to go to Iowa, they have the number one creative writing program in the nation!
